Duncan Lamont. a Jazz great.Played trumpet with Kenny Graham’s Afro Cubists and changed to tenor sax.A notorious jazz studio player and has worked with most of the iconic performers, as a composer and often as a featured soloist. They include; Henry Mancini, Peggy Lee, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Bing Crosby, Count Basie, Fred Astaire, Paul McCartney, Sammy Davies Jr, Ella Fitz Gerald the list is endless. He has composed on David Bowie’s ‘The Man who Fell to Earth’ and TV scores galore.
Duncan Lamont Jr. has backed artists like; Amy Winehouse, Natalie Cole, Barry White, Johnny Mathis and spent many years in Dame Shirley Bassey’s orchestra. He has played in the BBC Big Band and BBC Concert Orchestra and for BBC Radio 2. Over his career Duncan has performed in West End Shows, recorded for Film and TV including for the Film ‘Iris’ and arranged music for BBC Strictly Come Dancing.
Mike Hatchard has composed thousands of songs over the years. Early in his career he won the composers prize at the Royal College of Music, however a penchant for comedy led to performances at the Edinburgh Festival. Now he is widely known as a ‘fringe staple.’ He became a musical director for comedienne Pamela Stephenson and co-wrote songs with Frankie Howard and Spike Milligan. He has also worked with David Essex, George Martin, Syd Lawrence Orchestra, Julia Migenes, Liane Carroll, Alan Barnes.
